How to Dine During RRW
Support local, independent restaurants during Richmond Restaurant Week!
WHAT IS RRW?
For two weeks of every year, Richmond Restaurant Week offers diners the opportunity to experience a three-course meal at the city’s best, locally owned restaurants for less than $30. In addition to supporting the local economy, a portion of every meal purchased during restaurant week is donated to Feed More, a Richmond-based hunger-relief organization supporting 36 counties and cities in Virginia.
HOW DO I DINE DURING RRW?
Dining during Richmond Restaurant Week is as easy as enjoying a delicious meal at a participating restaurant. This long running, popular event brings large crowds of local diners and out-of-towners into restaurants across the city, so we highly recommend making a reservation at your restaurant of choice. However, not all restaurants accept reservations, so make sure to contact the individual business before heading out.
TIPS FOR A GREAT RRW EXPERIENCE:
Share your experience! Tag #RRWeek in your social posts so others can see what each restaurant has to offer.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact the restaurant directly as soon as possible. This is a busy and popular week and many restaurants reduce their profit margins to zero to accommodate this price point. Every no-show table reduces their ability to participate and affects the wait staff’s income.
Gift cards, coupons or other special offers are generally not accepted at participating restaurants for this special menu. If you plan on using one of these payment methods, please check with the restaurant at the time of your reservation or before your food is ordered to determine their specific policy.
If you’re going to be late for your reservation, call the restaurant as soon as you are able. Tables can generally be held for 10-15 minutes, but with the increased traffic during RRW, they may need to move your reservation to another time or day.
Please be patient with the restaurant and wait staff. This is an extremely busy week for our participants, but whether you’re dining or cooking, we’re all here for the same reason - to help support those struggling with hunger in our community.
I’M FROM OUT OF TOWN, WHERE DO I STAY?
Richmond has an excellent selection of small boutique and large national hotels as well as charming B&Bs and home rentals. No particular lodging is associated with RRW, so we recommend visiting the city’s tourism website for a comprehensive list of options as well as other activities to work up your appetite while you’re in town.
